Four National Teams, One City
Kansas City is home to 4 national team base camps for World Cup 2026. Argentina, England, the Netherlands, and Algeria will all train here during the tournament. Players, coaches, and thousands of supporters will be in the city for weeks.
If you are traveling to support your team, staying near their base camp means you might catch an open training session or spot the team bus pulling in. Here is where each squad is setting up.
Netherlands, KC Current Training Facility, Riverside
Training hub: KC Current Stadium & Training Facility, 1 Teal Rising Way, Riverside, MO
The Netherlands (Oranje) will train at the KC Current facility in Riverside, just north of downtown Kansas City. The complex opened in 2024 and was built specifically for professional soccer.

- June 25: Tunisia vs Netherlands (Group F, 5:00 PM CT)
Our Northland properties are the closest accommodation to the Dutch base camp:
- Northwood Units 1, 2 & 4. 4 minutes (2.7 miles) from the KC Current facility. Three separate apartments in the same complex, perfect for groups of Dutch fans traveling together. Sleeps 4 per unit.
- The Basecamp (Avalon). 5 minutes (3.1 miles) away. A 4-bedroom executive home sleeping 8, ideal for families or larger fan groups.
- Stadium Operations HQ (Garfield). 6 minutes (3.5 miles) away. 4 bedrooms, sleeps 6, and the closest property to Arrowhead Stadium at just 14 minutes.
Oranje tip: The Netherlands has a massive traveling fan culture. If you are planning to come, book early. Dutch fans are known for selling out accommodation in host cities.

Argentina, Sporting KC Training Facility, Kansas City KS
Training hub: Sporting Kansas City Training Center, 1600 Village West Parkway, Kansas City, KS
Argentina (La Albiceleste) will train at the Sporting KC facility in the Village West area of Kansas City, Kansas. This is west of downtown, near the Kansas Speedway and Legends shopping district.
Argentina matches in Kansas City:
- June 16: Argentina vs Algeria (Group J, 7:00 PM CT)
- June 27: Algeria vs Austria (Group J, 8:00 PM CT) - Argentina fans will want to watch this one to see how their group rival fares
- The Basecamp (Avalon). 20 minutes (12.4 miles) from the Argentina training facility. The 4-bedroom executive home is spacious enough for a group of supporters to share.
- Northwood complex. 21 minutes (13.1 miles) from training. Book multiple units for larger groups.
- Liberty Heritage properties. 37 minutes from training but only 22 minutes from Arrowhead Stadium. The Fan Portal properties welcome stays of any length, which is ideal if you are staying for both Argentina group matches.
Tip for Argentine fans: The Village West area near the training facility has plenty of restaurants and shopping. It is a 25-minute drive from downtown Kansas City, where the Fan Festival will be running daily.
England, Swope Soccer Village
Training hub: Swope Soccer Village, 6310 Lewis Road, Kansas City, MO
England (Three Lions) will train at Swope Soccer Village in south Kansas City. This is one of the largest public soccer complexes in the United States, located in Swope Park.
England matches in Kansas City: England does not have a scheduled group match in Kansas City, but the Round of 32 (July 3) and Quarter-Final (July 11) at Arrowhead could feature England depending on group results.
Where England fans should stay:

- Stadium Operations HQ (Garfield). 16 minutes (10.4 miles) from Swope Soccer Village and just 14 minutes from Arrowhead. The best balance of training facility access and stadium proximity.
- Broadcaster's Retreat (Chas). 23 minutes from training, 19 minutes from the stadium. A 3-bedroom home in a quiet Pleasant Valley neighborhood.
- Northwood complex. 19 minutes (12.2 miles) from training. Multiple units available for groups.
For Three Lions supporters: Kansas City has a growing English football pub culture. Check out local soccer bars for watch parties and supporter meetups. The Fan Festival downtown will also screen every match of the tournament.
Algeria, Rock Chalk Park, Lawrence KS
Training hub: Rock Chalk Park, Rock Chalk Drive, Lawrence, KS
Algeria (Les Fennecs) will train at Rock Chalk Park in Lawrence, Kansas, about 45 minutes west of Kansas City. Lawrence is a college town (home of the University of Kansas) with a lively downtown.
Algeria matches in Kansas City:
- June 16: Argentina vs Algeria (Group J, 7:00 PM CT)
- June 27: Algeria vs Austria (Group J, 8:00 PM CT)
Lawrence is a 45-57 minute drive from our properties, so Algeria fans face a choice: stay near the team in Lawrence, or stay near the stadium and Fan Festival in Kansas City.
For fans prioritizing match-day access and the full World Cup atmosphere, our Kansas City properties are the better call:
- Liberty Heritage (444 & 446 Spring). 22 minutes from Arrowhead. Two mirror-duplex townhouses that can accommodate up to 12 fans combined. Any-length stays welcome.
- The Basecamp (Avalon). 21 minutes from the stadium, 45 minutes from Rock Chalk Park. A good middle ground.

Soccer Bars and Fan Culture in Kansas City
Kansas City has a passionate soccer culture, largely thanks to Sporting Kansas City (MLS) and KC Current (NWSL). Here are some ways to connect with fellow fans:
- The Fan Festival at the WWI Memorial downtown. Free entry, live screenings of every match, food, music, and cultural experiences running for 18+ days
- Power & Light District. Downtown entertainment district that will be buzzing on match days
- No Other Pub. The official Sporting KC bar, a natural gathering spot for soccer fans
- Local sports bars throughout the Northland and Liberty. Casual watch parties with locals
