Kansas City is one of 16 host cities for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Six matches at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, including four group stage games, a Round of 32 knockout match, and a Quarter-Final. Here is what you need to know about the schedule, tickets, and match day logistics.

All 6 Kansas City matches
| Date | Match | Round | Kickoff (CT) |
|---|---|---|---|
| June 16 | Argentina vs Algeria | Group J | 7:00 PM |
| June 20 | Ecuador vs Curaçao | Group E | 6:00 PM |
| June 25 | Tunisia vs Netherlands | Group F | 5:00 PM |
| June 27 | Algeria vs Austria | Group J | 8:00 PM |
| July 3 | TBD vs TBD | Round of 32 | 7:30 PM |
| July 11 | TBD vs TBD | Quarter-Final | 7:00 PM |
The knockout matches on July 3 and July 11 depend on group stage results. The Quarter-Final on July 11 is the biggest match Kansas City will host and will almost certainly sell out first.
Key window: Kansas City's tournament runs nearly four weeks, from June 16 to July 11, 2026. That is a lot of football in one city.
How to buy World Cup 2026 tickets
All tickets are sold through the official FIFA ticketing platform. There is no other authorized seller.
Ticket phases
FIFA releases World Cup tickets in multiple sales phases:
- First Come, First Served sales. Currently open. Tickets sell in real time until they are gone.
- Last-Minute Sales. Final release closer to the tournament with remaining inventory.
Ticket price ranges
FIFA World Cup 2026 tickets are divided into categories based on seat location:
- Category 4 (limited view/restricted). Starting from around $35-$60
- Category 3. Around $70-$120
- Category 2. Around $150-$250
- Category 1. $300 and up
- Knockout rounds. Prices increase for Round of 32 and Quarter-Final matches
Important: Do not buy from resellers or unofficial websites. FIFA voids tickets purchased outside the official platform, and you will not get into the stadium.
Hospitality packages
FIFA also offers hospitality packages that include premium seating, food, and drinks. These start at several thousand dollars per match and sell out quickly for the bigger games.
What to expect at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium
GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium holds over 76,000 for World Cup matches. Here is what you should know before you go.
Getting there
Stadium parking will be extremely limited on match days. FIFA uses most of the surrounding lots for operations, hospitality, and security. Plan on one of these options:
- ConnectKC26 Stadium Direct. Bus service from four pickup points across the metro, straight to the stadium. This is the recommended option.
- Rideshare. Uber and Lyft will have designated drop-off zones near the stadium.
- Drive and park off-site. Some lots along I-70 and I-435 will offer shuttle service. Details will be announced closer to the tournament.
Arriving early
Gates open about 3 hours before kickoff for World Cup matches. Get there early. Security screening takes time, and you will want to take in the atmosphere before the whistle.

What to bring (and what not to bring)
Bring:
- Your FIFA ticket (mobile or printed)
- A clear bag (FIFA has strict bag policies)
- Sunscreen and a hat. June and July in Kansas City are hot, often 85-95°F
- A portable charger for your phone
- Large bags, backpacks, or purses
- Outside food and drinks (limited exceptions for medical needs)
- Flags on poles, flares, or noisemakers with batteries
Weather considerations
Late June and July in Kansas City mean heat and humidity. Afternoon kickoffs (5:00 and 6:00 PM) will still be warm. Evening matches (7:00 and 8:00 PM) are more comfortable but expect mid-80s at kickoff.
Stay hydrated. Water stations will be available inside the stadium.
