Who needs a month-long stay in Kansas City?
The World Cup runs from June 11 through July 19, 2026. That is almost six weeks. If you are part of a broadcast crew, tournament staff, volunteer coordinator, or logistics team, you are not booking a weekend. You are booking a month or more.
Extended Stay America and similar chains exist for this. But during the World Cup, those rooms will cost $200-400/night ($6,000-12,000/month) for 300 square feet and a kitchenette. You can do better.

What makes these work for long stays
Real kitchens. Not a microwave and a mini-fridge. Full-size refrigerator, oven, stove, dishwasher, coffee maker, and all the cookware you need. Over 30 days, cooking at home saves $1,500-3,000 compared to eating every meal out.
In-unit laundry. Pack light. Wash clothes whenever you want without walking to a laundry room or feeding quarters into a machine.
Workspace. Dedicated desk space with power outlets and high-speed WiFi. If you are filing stories, editing footage, or running logistics calls, you have a real place to work.
Neighborhood life. Grocery stores, restaurants, and parks within 5-10 minutes. You are living in a real Kansas City neighborhood, not a hotel corridor. After a few weeks, you will know the local spots.
Parking. Every property has 2-3 free parking spots. Extended Stay hotels charge $10-20/night, which adds $300-600 to a monthly stay.
The Northwood complex: scalable crew housing
The three Northwood units (1, 2, and 4) are in the same building at 5601 N Northwood Road. Book one for a small team, two for a mid-size crew, or all three for up to 11 people with separate kitchens and entrances.
This is 8 minutes from the Riverside Training Facility — the closest housing available. If your crew splits time between training sessions and stadium operations, the Northwood complex covers both commutes in under 20 minutes.
Monthly rate for all three units: $39,000/month ($3,545 per person for 11 people).
